Press Release in the Dallas Morning News

"From the hills of Conway, Mass., comes the soulful, blues-drenched belting of Janet Ryan. Hers is one of those voices that stir deep inside before pushing their way out to the surface. She straddles R&B, blues and even roadhouse rock on a batch of songs that will both rattle your insides and soothe your psyche. Her upcoming album, Mama Soul, is a testament to her talents, particularly the potent tracks, Mr. Misery, This Heart of Mine, and He Burned That Bridge (While I Was Standing on It). Mama Soul was crafted at Audio Dallas Recording Studio; Ryan was signed to Forney-based CSP Records. Her upcoming Poor David's Pub gig also features her Straight Up Band, trumpeter Steve Howard and tenor saxophonist Mike Sizer. If she's that good on record, she must be pure fire on a concert stage."
